Description

This article is targeted for users who want to increase repository capacity on a thin provisioned volume within a disk pool or volume group on an E-Series system, managed by SANtricity Storage Manager Software Version 11.10.xx.xx or later or managed using the new SANtricity System Manager (SAM) 11.30.x.x or later.

For thin provisioned volumes, repository capacity is the amount of physical space allocated to the volume, while the virtual capacity is the amount of space presented to the host(s).
Recovery Guru in SANtricity will create a critical alert that the thin volume's repository capacity is full (or has exceeded the set threshold).
