Virtual Storage Console for VMware vSphere (VSC)

Answer

When provisioning a new datastore, Virtual Storage Console does the following:

  • Examines the hosts being provisioned against and compiles a list of initiators
  • Examines the storage array to find a matching igroup (initiator group)
  • If a matching igroup is not found, a new "rcu_generated_alua" igorup is created
