SRM Protection group creation failed:Cannot protect datastore which span 2 consistency groups

Issue

  • While creating an SRM Protection Group reports the below error:

Operation Error: Cannot protect datastore 'Datastore1' which spans 2 different consistency groups and standalone devices:"//VMWare/Datastore1/Datastore1","//VMWare/Datastore1/Datastore2".
 

  • Array Pair discovery discovers both Datastore 1 and 2 as local, refer to the below screenshot.

SRM reports the below error:
