Node fails to boot: MGWD crash loop during ontap 9.7 upgrade

Issue

  • During the ANDU process a node failed to start mgwd successfully after rebooting. 
  • CFO giveback was completed but the node could not start mgwd and fully join the cluster on reboot.
  • When the node reboots the following error messages are seen on node:
Management Gateway (mgwd) subsystem with id 1796 exited as a result of signal normal exit (0). The subsystem will attempt to restart.

Management Gateway (mgwd) subsystem with id  exited as a result of signal signal 6. The subsystem will attempt to restart.
