Email recipients not receiving Autosupports sent over SMTP: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first

Issue

  • Autosupports sent over SMTP are not being received by email recipients
  • Recipients have been added via the -partner-address parameter as described in the AutoSupport setup document
  • notifyd shows that transmissions are failing due to SMTP relay requesting SSL/TLS authentication for them
