Issue

  • Node reporting CIFS time out errors: Nblade_CifsOperationTimedOut_1
  • Specific to CIFS operations arriving on node-01, but volume is remote on node-02.
  • High latency when running vserver cifs share show command:

[kern_mgwd:info:1874] cifs_share.next_imp() returns: success (latency: 120.207196s)

Action taken but failed to resolve the issue:

  • Reboot CD
  • Restart CIFS SVM
  • Takeover of node-01
  • Give back of node-01 was attempted, but node-02 panicked.

Other errors noted in the logs:

  • Leaked share lock

kernel: ems.engine.suppressed:debug]: Event 'Nblade.cifsLockStateMismatch' suppressed 34 times in last 51 seconds. kernel: Nblade.cifsLockStateMismatch:debug]: params: {'pMessage': 'Leaked share lock?'}

  • CSM flow control from scsiblade to dblade on the same node:

CsmMpAgentThread: csm.flowControlled:debug]: params: {'uniquifier': '-666654881', 'filename': 'src/Session/session.cc', 'lineno': '9008', 'interface': '1', 'localBladeUUID': 'node-02:scsiblade', 'remoteBladeUUID': 'node-02:dblade'}
