NetApp adopts Microsoft’s Business-to-Customer (B2C) Identity Management
Effective December 3 - NetApp adopts Microsoft’s Business-to-Customer (B2C) identity management to simplify and provide secure access to NetApp resources. For accounts that did not pre-register (prior to Dec 3) access to your NetApp data may take up to 1 hour as your legacy NSS ID is synchronized to the new B2C identity. Answer

A feature to directly upload disk firmware, shelf firmware, SP/BMC firmware and the disk qualification package (DQP) is available in ONTAP System Manager 9.8 and later versions. Starting with ONTAP 9.9.1, you can receive alerts in System Manager from Active IQ Unified Manager that inform you when firmware updates are pending on the cluster.

To access this feature in System Manager:

  1. Cluster -> Overview.
  2. Click More (3 dots) in the top right corner of the Overview page and select ONTAP Update from the drop-down menu.
  3. Navigate to the Firmware Update tab.
