Applies to

  • OnCommand Unified Manager 9.5 & earlier
  • ONTAP 9.4 & later
  • Active IQ Unified manager

Issue

  • After upgrading to ONTAP 9.4 or later, node CPU utilization is displayed incorrectly when viewed in OnCommand Unified Manager.
  • Meanwhile while using other tools such as ActiveIQ, the CPU utilization is considerably less compared to OnCommand Unified Manager.
  • Alerting tools such as Solarwinds may be pulling latency alerts from OnCommand Unified Manager that show high latency

Example: The below graphs show the difference between OnCommand Unified Manager versions in CPU utilization for the same system.

OnCommand Unified Manager 9.5:

  • After Upgrading Active IQ Unified manager Unified Manager to 9.6P1 or above, previous CPU Utilization will still display incorrectly.
