OnCommand Unified Manager services don't start after importing a CA signed certificate

Applies to

  • OnCommand Unified Manager (UM) 7.3+
  • OnCommand Unified Manager (UM) 9.x
  • Active IQ Unified Manager (AIQUM) 9.x

Issue

  • In the UM web interface on the Setup > HTTPS Certificate page, you used the Install HTTPS Certificate button to import a CA signed certificate
  • Opening the UM web interface shows:
    • Can't reach this page in Internet Explorer 
    • Unable to connect in Firefox
    • This site can't be reached in Chrome
  • With UM installed on Windows:
    • the NetApp OnCommand Acquisition Service and NetApp OnCommand Application Service are stopped.
  • With UM installed on RHEL/CentOS or vApp/OVA:
    • the ocie and ocieau services are stopped
