NodeOffline, blockServiceUnhealthy and sliceServiceUnhealthy alerts triggered during node shutdown or maintenance

  • NetApp HCI storage node
  • NetApp Element software


During cluster or node maintenance, a number of alerts such as below will trigger when the node puts in shutdown state.

  • sliceServiceUnhealthy   A metadata service is unhealthy and SolidFire is attempting to migrate data away from it.
  • blockServiceUnhealthy   A block service is unhealthy and SolidFire is attempting to migrate data away from it.
  • nodeOffline             The SolidFire Application cannot communicate with node ID <#>
