Answer

Throttle is calculated by 100 – (targetIOPS / maxIOPS) * 100.

Additional Information

  • Target IOPS start being smaller than maxIOPS when the system decides sacrificing maxIOPS to guarantee minIOPS of all volumes on a node.
  • AIQ Collector is collecting last 500 ms of the throttle information every 60 seconds from SolidFire Storage Cluster.
  • Please refer to NetApp SolidFire Quality of Service (QoS)  for understanding how QoS works in Element Software.
