"monitor.volume.nearlyFull" event occurs even when volume still has enough free space

Issue

df command shows that only 20% of volume is used but monitor.volume.nearlyFull alert is sent.

ems.log Example:

monitor.volume.nearlyFull: Volume
volume1@vserver:<SVM_UUID> is nearly full (using or reserving 20% of space and 97% of inodes
