Description

Error message: /vol0/plex0/rg0/0a.45 (S/N XXXXX): disk failure detected
Earlier versions of Data ONTAP might display a message similar to the following:

Error message: ERROR: unable to start reconstruction for /vol0/plex0/rg0: No zeroed disk of correct size available

(For more information, see BUG 85383)
The No zeroed disk of correct size available message is displayed after a drive has failed, although there are spares of the same size.
A disk failure message occurs.
