Cannot create domain users for use with SAML

Issue

Domain users cannot be created for use with SAML, the following error is displayed:
 
::> security login create -user-or-group-name MAIN\relic -application http -authentication-method saml -role admin -second-authentication-method none
 
Error: command failed: Non-domain User should not have a backslash in the username.
