  • MetroCluster
  • ONTAP 9.6 and later

Answer

  • Cluster peering encryption is supported and can be enabled on MetroCluster, however MetroCluster peering traffic such as Config Replication Service (CRS) will not be encrypted.
  • SnapMirror traffic using the cluster peer relationship will be encrypted
  • This operation can be performed without the need of a maintenance window
