Issue

  • The following alerts are generated in the event logs, despite using the supported switch model, OS, and configuration:

[node-01: cshmd: hm.alert.raised:alert]: Alert Id = UnsupportedSwitch_Alert , Alerting Resource = clusterswitch-01 raised by monitor cluster-switch
[node1:callhome.hm.alert.major:alert]: Call home for Health Monitor process cshm: UnsupportedSwitch_Alert[switch_name].

  • Alerts are generated at times when indications of network instability on the management network can be seen:

[node-01: cshmd: hm.alert.raised:alert]: Alert Id = SwitchCommunityString_Alert , Alerting Resource = clusterswitch-01 raised by monitor cluster-switch

  • The alert can be seen cleared automatically:

[node-01: cshmd: hm.alert.cleared:notice]: Alert Id = UnsupportedSwitch_Alert , Alerting Resource = clusterswitch-01 cleared by monitor cluster-switch
