Issue

  • Despite no issues seen on cluster switches, following AutoSupport alerts are received: 

    Call home for Health Monitor process cshm:SwitchFanNotPresent_Alert...
     
  • Alerts are raised and cleared in seconds or minutes. Example:

Sun Jan 1 00:00:36 +0100 [node_name: cshmd: hm.alert.raised:alert]:Alert Id = SwitchSNMPCommunication_Alert, Alerting Resource = switch_name-1/Fan Module-1 raised by monitor ethernet-switch

Sun Jan 1 00:03:03 +0100 [node_name: cshmd: hm.alert.cleared:notice]: Alert Id = SwitchSNMPCommunication_Alert, Alerting Resource = switch_name-1/Fan Module-1 cleared by monitor ethernet-switch

  • Other sensor may be calling out as well such as power supply. Example:

Sun Jan 1 00:05:23 +0100 [node_name: cshmd: hm.alert.raised:alert]:Alert Id = SwitchPowerNotPresent_Alert, Alerting Resource = switch_name-1/PowerSupply-1 raised by monitor ethernet-switch
