PANIC : A bad disk or adapter prevented the disk driver from completing initialization

Issue

  • When restarting the node with the failed disk, a panic occurred and it does not boot. 

Dec 07 15:12:04 [node-1:scsi.cmd.checkCondition:error]: Disk device 10b.14.19: Check Condition: CDB 0xa2: Sense Data SCSI:not ready - Drive spinning up (0x2 - 0x4 0x1 0x0)(120000). 
WARNING: Call to nitrocfg failed. Exiting netapp_modules. 
FWU 2nd trigger point
FWU has no post firmware update action registered. 
PANIC  : A bad disk or adapter prevented the disk driver from completing initialization

  • Trying to boot the node using boot_ontap command, but the system occurred PANIC again.
