Description

  • This KB article outlines the procedure for deleting SnapMirror snapshots
  • There may be instances when unwanted snapshots need to be removed from SnapMirror source or destinations volumes due to space concerns, or other reasons
  • A common but often overlooked source of unneeded SnapMirror snapshots are the baseline snapshots created by a Reverse Resync operation during SnapMirror DR, or a DR test
  • Snapshot deletion may fail stating the snapshots are busy and/or owned by SnapMirror
