Unable to rename CIFS server to a specific name

cluster1::*> vserver cifs server modify -vserver svm2 -cifs-server CIFS3 -domain DEMO.NETAPP.COM -ou CN=Computers -default-site "" -status-admin up

Error message returned in CLI:

Error: Machine account creation procedure failed
  [   336] Loaded the preliminary configuration.
  [   340] Successfully connected to ip 192.168.0.253, port 88 using
           TCP
  [   733] Successfully connected to ip 192.168.0.253, port 389
           using TCP
**[   745] FAILURE: Could not modify account
**         'cn=CIFS3,CN=Computers,dc=DEMO,dc=NETAPP,dc=COM': Server
**         is unwilling to perform
  [   752] Renamed existing account
           'cn=CIFS3,CN=Computers,dc=DEMO,dc=NETAPP,dc=COM' to
           'cn=CIFS2,CN=Computers,DC=demo,DC=netapp,DC=com'

Error: command failed: Failed to create the Active Directory machine account "CIFS3". Reason: LDAP Error: The server does not handle directory requests.
