Path failover on Hyper-V VMs takes too long

  • VMs running Oracle Linux
  • VMs accessing FC LUNs

Issue

When a FC (Fibre Channel) path between LUN and host fails, failover in the VMs may take upwards of 80 seconds; this can cause e.g. database applications to malfunction
