High Latency with SM-BC

Issue

  • VMs in unmirrored volume take snapshot very fast.
  • VMs in mirrored volume, cannot respond to ping packets during taking snapshot.
  • VMs are moved to mirrored volume very slowly compared to being moved to a non-mirrored volume.
  • EMS errors are logged on the primary site:
Tue Apr 04 02:38:22 +0800 [Node1-01: repl_Handle_sync_resl: callhome.syncsm.exception:error]: Call home for SNAPMIRROR SYNCHRONOUS EXCEPTION: Network Latency exceeded threshold limit.
