Issue

  • The cluster switches are not being monitored for the below reason:

Cluster1::> system switch ethernet show

Switch                      Type               Address          Model
--------------------------- ------------------ ---------------- ---------------
Cluster1-SW1                cluster-network    194.1.2.34       CN1610
     Serial Number: 40XXXXXXXXX
      Is Monitored: false
            Reason: IP address reachable
  Software Version: 1.3.0.3
    Version Source: ISDP

  • Adding the cluster switch to monitoring fails with the below error:

Cluster1::> system switch ethernet create -device Cluster1-SW1 -address 194.1.2.34 -snmp-version SNMPv2c -community cshm1! -model CN1610 -type cluster-network -is-monitoring-enabled-admin true

Error: IP address is not reachable. Verify that the "-address" value is valid or check the network path.
