Issue

  • Recovery Guru reports the following error:

Failure Entry 1: SUPPORT_CRU_NOINPUT-Recovery Failure Type Code: 97
Storage array: E2812
Component reporting problem: Power supply canister (Right)
Status: No power input
Location: Controller/Drive shelf 99
Component requiring service: Power supply canister (Right)

  • Storage Array Profile shows no power input for power-fan canister and power supply:

  • For systems where the power supply canister includes the fans as well (i.e SG5712, E2812), then the below failure would also be reported in Recovery Guru:

  • If AutoSupport is enabled, an email is sent to the end user. In return, the user has 24 hours to respond if a support case must be opened. The email notification will be for:  E-Series Notification (Power supply failed) CRITICAL
    • Starting with SANtricity OS 11.70.3, an AutoSupport message is not dispatched if the power supply failure reason is loss of power input. However, an email is sent to the end user if email notification is configured in SANtricity System Manager (Configure mail server and recipients for alerts).
