How to remove the VASA provider from vCenter

Description

In some cases, you cannot remove the VASA provider from vCenter and the following error occurs:
The "Unregister storage provider" operation failed for the entity with the following error message: A problem was encountered while unregistering the provider

While checking the sps.log file which is located in /storage/log/vmware/vmware-sps on the vCenter appliance, the following error is seen:
