Issue

Deploying a cluster in ONTAP Deploy GUI but fails with these messages in Deploy > Administration  > Events:
  • ClusterNodeCreateFailed:One of the node create operations failed while creating cluster"ClusterName".
  • NodeCreateFailed: Node "Node-01" create failed. Reason: Virtual appliance create failed (waitForLease).. Manual deletion of this node from its host may be required.
  • NodeVMNotFound: Node "Node-01" in cluster "ClusterName" not found on any host. If the cluster has been reconfigured outside on ONTAP Select Deploy, run a refresh operation on the cluster.
In ESXAdmin.log
InvalidArg: <vmname> invalid - no vm named 'Node-01' on host 'hostName'.
InternalErr: Failed to get HTTP lease, The operation is not allowed in the current state.
Err: Virtual appliance create failed (waitForLease)
 
On vSphere Recent Tasks  "The operation is not allowed in the current state"
