Answer

Yes, You have to do remove the OVF file before performing a vMotion.
Steps:
  1. Update the host information in the Deploy VM.
  2. Shut down the ONTAP Select virtual machine.
  3. If the node is part of an HA pair, perform a storage failover first.
  4. Clear the CD/DVD drive option.
  5. This step does not apply if you installed ONTAP Select without using ONTAP Deploy.
  6. After the Storage vMotion operation completes, power on the ONTAP Select virtual machine.
  7. If this node is part of an HA pair, you can perform a manual giveback.
  8. Perform a cluster refresh operation using the Deploy utility and confirm it is successful.
