ONTAP Select file shares are not accessible and discovered node down

Issue

  • File shares, printers, reporting latency and subsequent failover was initiated.
  • The failover begun and both nodes appear to have rebooted.
  • ESXi log report spamming the log of performance issue due to the disk:

 2024-03-06T05:03:26.452Z cpu17:3053981)WARNING: ScsiDeviceIO: 1412: Device naa.5000c500a1573345 performance has deteriorated. I/O latency increased from average value of 1538 microseconds to 404523 microseconds

  • Confirmed that the naa ID from the ESXi error matches the naa ID of the device hosting the down ONTAP Select node VM
