LIFs down during ONTAP Select single node upgrade

Issue

  • Upgrade paused with the following error:
5/9/2023 10:55:17   cluster1
      ALERT         vifmgr.lifdown.noports: LIF svm1_data_lif1 (on virtual server 3), IP address 1.2.3.4, currently cannot be
hosted on node cluster1, port e0b, or any of its failover targets, and is being marked as down.
5/9/2023 10:55:16   cluster1
      ALERT         vifmgr.lifdown.noports: LIF svm1_data_lif2 (on virtual server 2), IP address 1.2.3.4, currently cannot be
hosted on node cluster1, port e0b, or any of its failover targets, and is being marked as down.
  • LIFs are down, and can't be brought up
  • Following messages appear in EMS:
 
Tue May 09 10:29:45 +0000 [cluster1: intr: ems.engine.suppressed:debug]: Event 'dev.driver.throttling' suppressed 144 times in last 879 seconds.
Tue May 09 10:29:45 +0000 [cluster1: intr: dev.driver.throttling:notice]: mpt driver unit 0 throttling I/O requests due to long latency.
