Is there a way to migrate an ONTAP Select VM to be managed under a different ONTAP Select Deploy VM?

Answer

  • Migration is not possible if the destination ONTAP Select Deploy VM is already managing another ONTAP Select VM.
  • When there are no ONTAP Select VMs being managed under the destination ONTAP Select Deploy VM, it is possible to migrate the ONTAP Select VM after performing a Backup and Restore of the ONTAP Select Deploy VM, followed by using Storage vMotion.
