Add ONTAP Select capacity tier license failed with error

  • Existing ONTAP Select cluster has applied capacity tier licenses

Issue

The below error happens when trying to add a new capacity tier license to an existing ONTAP Select cluster by the following procedure:
  • Procedure:
From ONTAP Select Deploy -> Clusters ->click the cluster->click Launch System Manager -> License Modify
  • Error Message:
Cluster License Modify cannot be performed on license cluster
