CONTAP-636677: OTS 9.12.1+ GEOM aliases do not work for extended partitions on IDE boot disks

Issue

  • ONTAP Select cluster running ONTAP version 9.11.1 or earlier with IDE boot devices /dev/ad0s could run into issues during upgrade due to freebsd device migration from /dev/ad0 to /dev/ada 
    • Example: /dev/ad05 to ada5
  • The issue causes the boot disks appear missing or corrupt.
