Issue

  • This ONTAP change improves handling of fatal errors reported by T6-based network interface cards (NIC).
  • ONTAP will perform an automated takeover of the affected node and reboot it to recover the NIC.
  • When this automated takeover happens, the EMS message may appear to indicate a user initiated takeover:
    [node1: sfo_fanta_worker_thread: cf.misc.operatorTakeover:notice]: Failover monitor: takeover initiated by operator
