Answer

In a MetroCluster configuration, a backhoe describes the situation when all communication between the 2 clusters has been cut.

  • Each cluster remains online and serving its own data independently
  • There is no NVRAM replication
  • There is no SyncMirror replication
  • There is no vserver config replication

Note: Performing a switchover operation while in this state could result in data loss or serving out-of-date data.
