Node unresponsive and will not boot

Applies to

  • FAS8200
  • AFF-A300
  • AFF-A400
  • FAS2750
  • No LEDs active on motherboard
  • If MetroCluster, AUSO triggered at time of failure

Issue

  • A takeover or automated unplanned switchover (AUSO) occurr and this node is completely unresponsive.
  • Node doesn't recover with hard power cycle via a motherboard reseat.
  • Node doesn't power up via system power on or system power cycle via BMC/SP.
  • SP/BMC report Running Backup Firmware and multiple sensor can not be read.
