Issue

  • SYNCMIRROR PLEX FAILED AutoSupport message is received for MetroCluster IP:

[Node-02: config_thread: raid.rg.degraded:notice]: : Raid group /aggr1_02/plex2/rg0 is degraded
[Node-02: config_thread: raid.vol.mirror.degraded:alert]: Aggregate aggr1_02 is mirrored and one plex has failed. It is no longer protected by mirroring.
[Node-02: config_thread: callhome.syncm.plex:alert]: Call home for SYNCMIRROR PLEX FAILED

  • The iSCSI connections are found to be terminated when verified using the below command:

event log show -event *”iSCSI CAM target layer's session state is changed to terminated”*

  • Fabric 2 iSCSI connections are terminated:
[Node-01: intr: ctl.session.stateChanged:notice]: iSCSI CAM target layer's session state is changed to terminated for the initiator iqn.1994-09.org.freebsd:3e6c6101-aab1-11ec-a3f8-d039ea3b9999 (address: 10.1.2.3). Reason: no ping reply after 5 seconds.
[Node-01: intr: ctl.session.stateChanged:notice]: iSCSI CAM target layer's session state is changed to terminated for the initiator iqn.1994-09.org.freebsd:2f048313-aab1-11ec-8d08-d039ea3b1111 (address: 10.1.2.4). Reason: no ping reply after 5 seconds.
  • Fabric 1 connections are terminated, Pool 1 disks are no longer visible and the remote plex fails:
[Node-01: intr: ctl.session.stateChanged:notice]: iSCSI CAM target layer's session state is changed to terminated for the initiator iqn.1994-09.org.freebsd:3e6c6101-aab1-11ec-a3f8-d039ea3b9999 (address: 10.1.1.3). Reason: no ping reply after 5 seconds.
[Node-01: intr: ctl.session.stateChanged:notice]: iSCSI CAM target layer's session state is changed to terminated for the initiator iqn.1994-09.org.freebsd:2f048313-aab1-11ec-8d08-d039ea3b1111 (address: 10.1.1.4). Reason: no ping reply after 5 seconds.
