MetroCluster Failover monitor takeover of nodename disabled unsynchronized log

Issue

  • FCVI port disconnects are observed before the failover is disabled:

  • Takeover disabled messages are generated and after few seconds automatically enabled:

Mon Jan 22 20:38:20 +0100 [CL01-01: cf_main: cf.fsm.takeoverByPartnerEnabled:notice]: Failover monitor: takeover of ASH06NETAPPCL2-02 by ASH06NETAPPCL2-01 enabled

Mon Jul 22 20:39:20 +0100 [CL01-01: cf_main: cf.fsm.takeoverOfPartnerEnabled:notice]: Failover monitor: takeover of CL01-01 enabled

  • Also, received the below ems alerts:

Mon Jan 22 20:37:00 +0100 [CL01-01: monitor: monitor.globalStatus.critical:EMERGENCY]: Controller failover of CL01-02 is not possible: unsynchronized log.

Mon Jan 22 20:36:54 +0100 [CL01-01: fcvi_cm: nvmm.mirror.aborting:debug]: mirror of sysid 2, partner_type DR PARTNER and mirror state NVMM_MIRROR_ONLINE is aborted because of reason NVMM_ERR_LINK_DOWN.

  • The switch logs show a low RX value:
