Event Summary

  • This message occurs when the Cluster DM Watchdog thread has given up after retrying for over an hour.
  • Cluster configuration replication services are affected and configuration updates might be lost.

Validate

Event Log

event log show -event *watchdog*

Command Line:

Run the following command on the cluster that triggered the AutoSupport.

metrocluster check config-replication show

                Enabled: true

Resolution

  1. Verify the current state of the MetroCluster SVM configurations:

metrocluster vserver show -configuration-state unhealthy,degraded

  1. Note down any degraded or unhealthy SVMs
  2. Confirm if the number of data vservers on each cluster match:
    Example:
    cluster_A::> vserver show -fields vserver -type data
    vserver
    --------
    test-svm
    vs1
    2 entries were displayed.

    cluster_B::> vserver show -fields vserver -type data
    vserver
    --------
    test-svm-mc
    vs1-mc
    2 entries were displayed.
  3. Note any mismatches in the above output
