Answer

  • No, decommissioning of SVM in MetroCluster setup will not have any dependencies. They can be deleted if not required.
  • When you delete an SVM on the source site in a MetroCluster configuration, the corresponding SVM on the destination site (with the "-mc" suffix) will also be deleted. This is because the SVMs are mirrored between the two sites to ensure data availability in the event of a switchover.
