  • ONTAP 9.8
  • MetroCluster IP

Issue

  • During an ANDU of a Metrocluster-IP from ONTAP 9.7P3 to ONTAP 9.8P7 the cluster image update process paused on error after the takeover and reboot of the first node in each cluster.
  • After the node was taken over and rebooted it came to a point where it kept spamming the console with the message: Waiting for reservations to clear
  • When we booted the node to maintenance mode we found that the ha-config values for the controller and chassis had been set to "ha" instead of the required value "mccip" for this configuration.
