Issue

  • SQL server instance hosted on an FC LUNs experiencing performance issues causing latency at the application layer.
  • Or ESXi host experiencing latency and hosts rebooting continously due to performance issue.
  • WQE events for Ext_Status 0x1d on a single port began to pop up in the EMS logs corresponding when the performance issue was first observed.

  • After reviewing the output for fcp adapter show -node <node name> -adapter <adapter number> confirmed that there is a low RX light level coming from the switch port:
