LUN size increased on storage side is not recognized by disk manager on host
Applies to
- Windows cluster host
- SQL database
- ISCSI LUN
- Snapdrive
Issue
- LUN size increased on storage side is not recognized by disk manager on windows host.
- LUN is used by SQL database on host side.
- There is SnapDrive installed to perform LUN resize operations, but LUN resize was done from storage side instead.
- When LUN resize operation is performed from SnapDrive, SnapDrive will extend the disk on host side automatically.
- But now the increased space is showing as raw partition for that disk on host side.
- By clicking on
healthy Raw partition
, unable to extend volume as the option is greyed out.
- Same with
NTFS partition
too,Extend volume
option is greyed out.
