LUN mapping to igroup fails with error :No such initiator group exists

Issue

  • After creating a new LUN, it cannot be mapped to existing initiator groups.

Example:

fas01::> lun mapping create -vserver SAP_FAS01_RZ1 -path /vol/vol1/lun1 -igroup ig1          
Error: command failed: No such initiator group exists

  • In ONTAP System Manager, the initiator group is not visible under host mapping of the LUN:
