FabricPool Windows SAN host remediation

Issue

  • During ONTAP FabricPool S3 tiering connection outage, Microsoft Windows may report:
    • I/O failures
    • BSOD
    • bad blocks, etc.
  • This may end up reflecting as Windows event log errors due to failures in flushing data or delayed writes.
  • Sample Windows error messages are shown below:

  • In case of ESXi based Windows GOS, ESXi  reports medium error:
