  • After an unnegotiated takeover IBM host is unable to serve data
  • Events seen on host side:

errpt (error report)

  • EMS.log shows no events for failed iscsi initiator sessions or scsi disk errors
  • Initiators can be seen establishing sessions repeatedly every 2-3 minutes after takeover:

iswt_admin_thread: iscsi.notice:notice]: ISCSI: New session from initiator at IP addr 10.10.10.10

iswt_admin_thread: iscsi.notice:notice]: ISCSI: New session from initiator at IP addr 10.10.10.10
