Issue

In certain ONTAP 9 and ASA r2 configurations using SnapMirror Active Sync, Persistent Reservation (PR) registration commands may time out or fail on paths to the secondary cluster. The same commands may continue to succeed on paths to the primary cluster.
This can occur during fault conditions when hosts issue PR registration and preemption operations across multiple paths. Affected hosts may have reduced reliability for reservation management on secondary paths, and service may require a reboot of the affected cluster node to recover.
