Reason Invalid argument seen while deleting S3 bucket

Issue

  • Seeing the following error when trying to delete the bucket from GUI or CLI.

::> vserver object-store-server bucket delete -vserver S3_svm -bucket bucket1
Error: command failed: Failed to remove bucket "bucket01" for Vserver "S3_svm". Reason: Failed to check if the bucket is empty. Reason: Invalid argument.

  • Setting option -skip-bucket-empty-check true also did not fix the issue.

::> vserver object-store-server bucket delete -vserver S3_svm -bucket bucket1 -skip-bucket-empty-check true

Error: command failed: [Job 20078] Job failed: Failed to remove bucket "bucket01" for Vserver "S3_svm". Reason: Failed to check if the bucket is empty. Reason: Invalid argument. , Object store bucket policy statements are deleted during the failure of bucket deletion job for bucket "bucket01" on Vserver "S3_svm"., Object store audit event selector was deleted during the failure of bucket deletion job for bucket "bucket01" on Vserver "S3_svm".
