Issue

  • A volume is tiered out to S3 storage  (90% of it is tiered).
  • The entire data in the volume is inside one top level directory called Folder1.
  • Folder1 directory needs to be copied into a new directory, called Folder2.
  • It is not known what will happen to tiered data, once its copied to a new folder.
  • Will it be pulled back to performance tier, and then wait till minimum-cooling-days to go back to S3 capacity tier?
