Applies to

  • Domain migration
  • ISCSI
  • ONTAP 9

Answer

  • If the domain undergoes a change, It required to update the iSCSI Qualified Name(IQN) domain accordingly.
  • This involves modifying the IQN to reflect the new domain name and then initiating the session.
  • Prior to making this change, it is required to disconnect the session, so planning for downtime is needed On the other hand, with FC and NVMe, there should not be any issues as they wwpns that do not contain domain information.
