  • Due to functionality in Windows Server 2025, any function in ONTAP that requires the use of KPASSWD will fail. 
  • For ONTAP to have full functionality with Windows Server 2025, both KB5065431 and KB5065426 patches must be applied to all domain controllers as outline in CONTAP-347583.

    • ONTAP does not impose any specific compatibility requirements for NFS version 3, as it adheres to general NFS standards across all clients. For NFS environments, Active Directory connectivity is only required when Kerberos authentication or LDAP user authentication is in use. ONTAP supports Microsoft Active Directory for these scenarios, but there are no specific compatibility checks for Azure Active Directory.
